Family Funeral Services was the very best!! - Comment (On: March 24, 2012)
I knew this gentleman that ran Family Funeral Services, he operated this business practically from his home but would go to the families home to complete funeral arrangements to be in there comfort zone, He did very well with his business, never owned a funeral home but he didn`t need one, he operated out of the local hospital, held visitations at the local church, or if it was going to be a very big funeral he would hold services in the gym at the local High school, he even held private visitations in the chapel at the hospital, I had a great deal of respect for this man, he started his business practically with nothing and built it from that, he raised a family in yellowknife and made himself available 24/7 to better serve the families of the NWT, now that he is gone there are other funeral service providers but it is in my own opinion he was the best one out of all of them because he was there from the very beginning, his prices were very modest and today it`s all about the all mighty dollar. If he were still around today he would still be at the top of the chain because he was great at what he did, and the people of yellowknife knew it as well.
